'My wife spends my money only'

Usually when both husband and wife are earning, they should ideally manage the household expenses collectively. But in some cases when it comes to spending, it's only the male partner who bears all the expenses and wife intends to saves her entire salary every month and expects the husband to pay all her shopping and mobile bills. Even for household expenses, the female partner isn't keen on contributing a single penny and rather takes all the money from the husband. In such situations, it ought to become difficult for the couple to manage their finances wisely and hence they end up spoiling their relationship also. Furthermore, when one partner is taking care of all the expenses without getting any contribution from the other partner, it can be really tough to plan future investments too. How do you think couples should handle such situations and make each other realize that the household expenses have to be shared in some manner, if not equally.
